Hospital hollow-ware covers the stainless-steel containers used throughout the operating theatre, sterilization area, and patient-care setting: kidney dishes, instrument trays, gallipots, sponge bowls, lotion bowls, sterilization trays, wash bowls, basins, and Mayo-stand drapes. Material standards focus on AISI 304 or AISI 316 austenitic stainless for the higher corrosion resistance against repeated chemical disinfection and steam sterilization cycles.
