Barraquer Micro — Barcelona Cornea Pattern
Ignacio Barraquer (1884-1965), Barcelona cornea-surgery pioneer and inventor of the keratome that opened the modern era of refractive surgery, lent his name to the spring-handle micro shaped specifically for corneal-incision work. The Barraquer pattern serves penetrating keratoplasty trephine-edge clean-up, anterior-lamellar keratoplasty Bowman-membrane edge cut, and corneal full-thickness laceration repair — all built around a 7-mm cutting blade.
