Braun-Stadler Episiotomy — Austrian Obstetric Reference
Carl Andreas Braun (1822-1891), the Austrian obstetrician who succeeded Klein at Vienna and was a contemporary of Semmelweis, gave his name (jointly with Stadler) to the angled-blade episiotomy scissor with thicker shank for second-stage labour use.
