Manufactured from AISI 420 martensitic German stainless steel with reinforced blade spines, the Toennis Cartilage Scissors feature blades approximately 30–35mm in length with beveled cutting edges specifically ground for the shearing forces required to cut cartilage cleanly without fracturing or crushing. The heavy-duty box-lock joint and reinforced blade construction withstand the significant lateral forces generated during cartilage cutting — forces that would damage standard tissue scissors.
