Cottle-Knapp 10.5 cm — Combined Rhino-Ophthalmic
The Cottle-Knapp pattern combines Maurice Cottle’s rhinoplasty design with Hermann Knapp’s (1832-1911) ophthalmic-surgery convention to produce a slim short-shafted scissor that crosses the rhino-ophthalmic boundary. 10.5 cm Cottle-Knapp handles canalicular-laceration repair after lid-trauma, dacryocystorhinostomy lacrimal-fascia opening through the medial-canthus tendon, and trans-conjunctival lower-blepharoplasty fat-pad redrape.
Rhino-ophthalmic use
- Canalicular laceration
- DCR medial-canthus
- Trans-conj fat redrape
