Diethrich-Hegemann — Phoenix Vascular Pattern
Edward B. Diethrich (1935-2017), the Phoenix vascular pioneer who founded the Arizona Heart Institute and championed endovascular techniques alongside open-vascular reconstruction, lent his name to the cardiovascular-precision scissor jointly developed with Hegemann. The reference pattern serves as the bench-and-tray standard for thoracic-aortic and complex-cardiac arteriotomy where the standard vascular scissor lacks tip refinement.
