Fomon Operating — New York Rhinoplasty Pattern
Samuel Fomon (1889-1971), New York City rhinoplasty surgeon and author of the founding 1939 textbook “Surgery of Injury and Plastic Repair”, lent his name to the slim-short-bladed scissor used at the nasal-tip level. The standard Fomon serves intradomal Goldman-tip cartilage adjustment, lower-lateral-cartilage cephalic-trim during external rhinoplasty, and septal-deviation strut graft fashioning at the bench.
