The Johns Hopkins-pattern bulldog (named for the Baltimore institution where Halsted, Cushing, and Bloodgood refined the surgical training system) is the paediatric-microvascular fine vessel clamp — neonatal coarctation aortic-isthmus side-bite before extended-end-to-end anastomosis, paediatric Norwood neoaortic temporary occlusion in stage-1 single-ventricle palliation, and infant Glenn bidirectional cavopulmonary SVC-PA temporary clamp. 50 mm fine jaw fits sub-3 mm paediatric vessels. Paediatric Hopkins fine hemostat.
