Lange Straight 15.5 cm — Berlin-Charité Abdominal Workhorse

Carl Lange (1885-1956) practised at the Berlin-Charité and gave his name to a heavier-shank operating scissor specifically for tough peritoneum. The 15.5 cm Lange straight cuts midline-laparotomy linea-alba aponeurosis, transverse-mesocolon peritoneal window during right-hemicolectomy, and posterior rectus-sheath release in component-separation hernia repair.
