Metzenbaum-Nelson Straight 18 cm — Cardiac Routine Standard

Lloyd Nelson modified the original Metzenbaum pattern with heavier blades and slightly wider jaw aperture, creating an instrument purpose-built for cardiac and thoracic dissection where the standard Metzenbaum proves too light. The 18 cm straight Nelson is the routine-cardiac-tray reference for sternotomy soft-tissue work and atrial-appendage dissection.
