Mills Vascular — British Carotid Pattern
T. Robert Mills, the British vascular surgeon, gave his name to the angled-tip scissor designed for opening tough atherosclerotic carotid plaque without splaying the calcified intima. The reference Mills pattern serves carotid-endarterectomy plaque-edge division at the distal end-point, common-carotid heel-toe arteriotomy completion, and external-carotid stump-closure suture cut after eversion endarterectomy.
