Neumann S-Curved — Vienna Dermatology Pattern
Isidor Neumann (1832-1906), the Vienna dermatologist who described pemphigus vegetans and the Neumann variant of pemphigus, lent his name to the S-curved fine scissor used for skin-and-dermatologic surgery. The double-bend S-curve angles the working tip away from the surgeon’s line of sight on flat skin surfaces. Reference Neumann handles dermatologic-surgery skin-tag base, melanoma WLE peripheral skin-edge lift, and pre-excision marked-margin elevation for facial Mohs.
