15 cm Mayo straight is the oral-maxillofacial suture-and-fascia size. Periosteal-flap closure after sagittal-split-osteotomy, mandibular-fracture intra-oral suture trimming, and maxillary Le Fort I fixation suture-cutting all sit within its working envelope. The blade is heavy enough for monofilament 3-0 nylon yet the length stays short for intra-oral access.
