Vannas 12 cm Blade 7 mm — Capsulotomy Standard
Mauno Vannas (1891-1957), Finnish ophthalmologist of the Helsinki school, gave his name to the spring-handle iris-and-capsulotomy scissor with very fine sharp tips. The 12 cm Vannas with 7 mm blade is the cataract-surgery capsulotomy default — anterior-capsule continuous-curvilinear-capsulorhexis runaway-tear interception, posterior-capsule polishing-cut for residual cortical fibres, and synechiolysis of posterior synechiae after uveitis flare.
Capsulotomy use
- CCC runaway interception
- Posterior-capsule polish
- Posterior-synechiolysis
