Vascular Control Group
The renal artery is a high-pressure vessel. Whether it is controlled with a stapler or a hand-tie over clamps, non-crushing vascular occlusion must be immediately available. Ratcheted clamps should be autoclaved in the first ratchet only, never fully closed, to prevent stress cracking at the box joint.
